Michael Supp – University of Maine (Football)

Major:  Mechanical Engineering

Final list of colleges:  Maine, Colgate, Delaware

Reasons for choosing Maine:  “Very positive team atmosphere, excellent coaches and a prestigious engineering program.”

Expectations as a freshman:  "Work hard and contribute to the team any way I can."

High school accomplishments:  First Team All-SOL (Defensive Line), Distinguished Honor Roll, National Honor Society

Coach Randy Cuthbert says:  “Mike had a huge year, and he’s a kid who’s still growing. I’m excited for the opportunity he got, receiving a scholarship to a Division One school. He’s just really athletic and really long, and I think when you see him in two years after being in a Division One program, you’re not going to recognize him. He’s going to be 275 pounds.
“He’s just a great kid, a great student. He’s a team guy. He played tight end, he played D-end, he played D-tackle. He’s got a great work ethic, and I think in the future that’s really going to serve him well. His combination of physical abilities, the fact that he’s still growing and his work ethic is going to make him successful.”
