Transue to Play Soccer at Bloomsburg

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, Neshaminy senior Austin Transue was recognized at a special news conference for signing a letter of intent to play soccer at Bloomsburg University.

Reasons for choosing Bloomsburg:  “The distance, my major and the campus – I really liked the size of the campus.”

What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level?  “I’ve been playing soccer since I was five, and I always wanted to play in college. Fortunately, I was good enough that I can.”

Coach Tom Foley says:  “Austin was our captain last year, and he led the team with 12 goals and contributed eight assists. Austin was the engine of our team. He was in constant motion, and when we needed a spark, he usually provided one for us. He was first team all-SOL and Courier Times Golden 11.”
