Sarah Tannenbaum – Drexel University (Softball)

Major:  Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Drexel, UMBC

Reasons for choosing Drexel:  “I was looking at other schools, but I knew Drexel was the one. They called me right away, and I went up for a visit, and (the coach) offered me on the spot. I knew that was the one because of how much he really wanted me, how much I loved the campus and just the environment.”

What was the progression that led you to playing softball at the collegiate level?  “Sophomore year I joined a travel team, TNT, that all of the players go D-1. (The coach) prepared all of us, and that’s when I knew I had a chance to go D-1. I knew I wanted to play in college freshman year, but it became realistic sophomore year.”

Coach Heather Boyer says:  “Sarah is a coach’s dream. She has such a positive attitude, she’s energetic, she works really, really hard, and she plays the game with such intensity and passion that it’s contagious. She has that fire in her eyes that’s fun to watch. Every play she goes hard, every at-bat she takes very seriously and really tries to win that battle. She has set a pretty high standard for everybody else to follow ever since she set foot on the field as a freshman.”
