Cooper Tollen – Emory University (Swimming)

Major:  Economics

Final list of schools:  Emory, Johns Hopkins, NYU, University of Rochester

Reasons for choosing Emory:  “The team dynamic and just how close the boys and girls team was. They did everything and had such a great relationship. It felt like a good environment for me to be part of.”

What was the progression that led you to swimming at the collegiate level?  “I saw some older kids I knew going to college and swimming, and competing against so many fast kids at the state level from my freshman year, I really thought I would be able to do this one day as long as I kept working hard. It was a natural progression.”

Coach Geoff Scheuer says:  “Cooper is a very intelligent swimmer, and he’s very technical and precise. He’s also very driven and motivated. He wants to be the best.”
