Colton Hooker – Northampton Community College (Baseball)

Major:  Business Administration

Final list of colleges:  Northampton Community College, Rowan, Alderson Broaddus, Arcadia

Reasons for selecting Northampton Community College:  “Northampton is one of the top junior college programs in their division. They’ve been successful for several years. I also have a good relationship with their coach.”

What was the progression that led you to playing baseball at the collegiate level?  “I started playing baseball as a kid, and I’ve always wanted to play at the next level. The recruiting process started my junior year playing for high school and the team I traveled with (TriState Arsenal).”

Coach Ken Irwin says:  “He’s a Hooker, and both Hookers just love to hit. He played first base for us, and going into this year, he was the one guy in our lineup that played in the field and batted in our order for a couple of years. For him to get hurt before the season – I really anticipated Colton being a leader and leading us. He was sidelined the whole season with a dislocated ankle, but he still found a way to be a leader. He came to games. He’s just a great kid. He and his brother Charlie just love to play, and they’re going to get up there and give you great at bats all the time.”
