Jake Easton – Connecticut College (Swimming)

Major:  Economics

Final list of colleges:  Connecticut, Lafayette

Reasons for choosing Connecticut:  “The swim team, the atmosphere, and the career program is really good. The campus is gorgeous.”

What was the progression that led you to swimming at the collegiate level?  “I’ve been swimming my whole life, and I probably started to think about college in middle school when I really got into swimming. My dad swam in college, so that led to me deciding to swim.”

Coach Geoff Scheuer says:  “Jake is a butterflier and breaststroker, and he reached the finals at states in the 100 breaststroke. He is one of the most intelligent swimmers we’ve ever had. His attention to detail is phenomenal, and more than anything else, that led to his success. It’s great to see someone so engaged all the time in what they’re doing, and he’s a really slyly funny kid, which is awesome.”
