On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Upper Dublin senior Seaton Kukla was recognized for committing to compete in basketball at Plymouth State University.

Reasons for choosing Plymouth State: “I loved the mountains, the size of the school, the campus and the coach.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing college basketball during my sophomore year. Colleges started reaching out to me during my junior season of high school and AAU. Plymouth State first reached out after they saw me play in a tournament in Boston in July of last year.”
Coach Derek Brooks says: “Looking back on Seaton, he’s a very high IQ player, he’s very skilled, and he’s someone who could take advantage of a mismatch. If he had a smaller guy on him, he could score inside. If he had a bigger guy on him, he could pull him outside and shoot. He’s just such a versatile threat and a great program guy. He just loves Upper Dublin, he’s very proud to be a member of the team, and he led through example. He’s a great kid.”
