On Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, Upper Dublin senior Cole Pedroso was recognized for committing to compete in lacrosse at Grove City College.

Cole Pedroso – Grove City College (Lacrosse)

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Final list of colleges: Grove City College, Ursinus, York, Messiah, Elizabethtown

Reasons for choosing Grove City: “I picked Grove City because I really enjoyed the campus when I visited.  I got there and could see myself there.  In addition, the lacrosse coach is a great person and coach.  I really liked the way he was with me and my family.  I also was a priority recruit.  They called me a few days after September 1st, and ever since then, they were hard on me during the recruiting process.  They also have a top engineering program.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to play in college as a kid.  I met and became friends with many college players.  The recruiting process started the summer before my junior year playing club lacrosse for Big 4 HHH.  After September 1st, schools could contact me, and I took my time in the process. I committed September 1st of my senior year, one year after it all started.”

Coach Pat Lacon says: “Cole plays attack for us. We’ll use him as an offensive player, both up top and behind. He has good vision on the field and is an extremely lacrosse-driven worker. He’s been a lacrosse player since elementary school and loves the game, loves the development of the sport. I’m super proud and pumped for his opportunity to play at the next level.”
