On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Upper Moreland senior Chloe Tice was recognized for committing to continue her softball career at Moravian College. Check back for photos of the event.

Chloe Tice – Moravian College (Softball)

Major:  Chemistry with a minor in Public Health

Final list of colleges:  Moravian, Gwynedd Mercy

Reasons for choosing Moravian:  “I liked it because it was a small school. As soon as I got on the campus, it seemed right, and the coaches and teammates were really welcoming as well.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in softball at the collegiate level?  “I started playing softball at a young age and gradually got more into it. As I reached seventh or eighth grade, I knew I would hopefully play college softball.”

Coach Scott Ludlow says:  “Chloe came up to the varsity midway through her freshman year and basically started all except two games behind the plate since then. She’s one of those quintessential team leaders on and off the field. She has a great softball IQ. She called pitches from her sophomore year on. We called a few her freshman year, but she basically handled that all three years for any pitcher we had. She batted everywhere from three to five to this year moving to leadoff because I needed a leadoff hitter. She’s one of those kids that would do anything you asked her to do and would do her best at it. She’s a hard worker, she stayed after games to work on her hitting when she struggled. She’s one of those kids for me that comes along once in a long while and just was a pleasure to coach and certainly will be sorely missed this year.”
