Chad Dubin – Hamilton College (Football)
Major:
Undecided
Final list of colleges:  Hamilton, Kenyon, Dickinson, Gettysburg
Reasons for choosing Hamilton:  “I wanted a small liberal arts college with a good academic reputation. I liked the culture, the football staff and players, and the people at Hamilton.
“My goal is to get a well-rounded education. I don’t know what I want to study yet, but Hamilton’s open curriculum will help me figure out my interests as well as my strengths and weaknesses. It will enable me to develop a passion for a specific area of study while strengthening my writing, communication and analytical skills in addition to continuing my football career.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level?  “I started playing football when I was seven years old. My passion for the game grew with each passing year. When I earned a varsity letter my sophomore year, I realized it was a possibility for me to play at the next level. The recruiting process started at the end of the football season junior year. I attended several football camps and met many football coaches, and it progressed from there.”
Coach Randy Cuthbert says:  “Chad did a lot of things for us. He won the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete award. He’s a very smart kid on and off the field. He was a two-way starter for us – he played offensive line and defensive end and linebacker. Chad and Mike were both really good kids who did everything right on and off the field.”
