Samantha Mullin – DeSales University (Field Hockey)
Academic honors:

Athletic accomplishments:  Advanced to districts for one-mile and two-mile, “Unsung Hero” Award for defense in field hockey
Clubs/Community Service:  Interact Officer, Boys’ Basketball Manager, FANS Club, Cantor/Choir/Children’s Choir Director, Church Volunteer, Ambassador Club
Coach Lucy Gil says:  “What stood out was Sam’s willingness to help her team.  I moved her around quite a bit and she was always gracious and tried everything.  She worked hard in the offseason to improve and became a great defenseman.  She is quiet and controlled most of the time, but can be fierce when needed.  Off the field she is as sweet as can be.”

Samantha Scoma – Widener University (Field Hockey)
Academic Honors:
National Honor Society
Athletic Accomplishments:  2015 All-SOL American Conference Third Team, 2015 Academic All-State, 2015 Coaches Award
Clubs/Community Service: Volunteer with WRA field hockey (coach and ref), Spay & Save (help shelter cats)
Coach Lucy Gil says:  “Sam has to be one of my favorite players ever.  She is a workhorse, and her speed and determination always seemed to get her to the ball first.  Even when the team would fall into a mind fog during a game, she was always there moving faster than anyone.  She always asked to learn more and we worked on her individual skills endlessly.  I love that her dedication paid off and she will be playing in college.  I can't wait to go see some of her games.”
