SOL 2020 Fall Sports Recommendation

SOL 2020 FALL SPORTS RECOMMENDATION

The Executive Committee of the Suburban One League met on August 5, 2020, to discuss the start of fall athletics. The goal of the fall 2020 scheduling for the Suburban One League is to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while providing opportunities for student-athletes to compete and represent their school communities.

The Executive Committee is making the recommendation that Low and Moderate Risk sports, which include Golf, Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country, Girls' Tennis, Water Polo, Girls' and Boys' Soccer, Field Hockey, and Girls' Volleyball have a two-week delay from the first PIAA regular season contest date for each of those sports, and the fall High Risk sport, Football, have a four-week delay from the first regular season contest date. This recommendation is now being considered by each school’s respective administration.
