Key returners:  Matt Shur (12^th), Andy Ring (12^th), Dave McDermott (12^th)

Strengths/Question Marks: “Abington’s strengths lie with two returning seniors and captains Matt Shur and Andy Ring.  They will be the backbone of the team with six new players at the Varsity level of competition.  Abington will look to the young players to step up throughout the season and produce varsity caliber scores.”

Outlook:  “Abington’s main goal this season will be focusing on acclimating the new players to compete at the varsity level.  We have six players competing at this level for the first time, and while each played on the JV team last season, there is much work to do with becoming familiar with course management, rules of the game, minimizing mental errors, and above all, consistency.  At this early stage in the season, the newer players need match experience to settle into the groove and produce quality scores to win matches.  The best quality of this team is that they are self-motivated, eager to work hard, and demand the best from themselves.  This is a coachable team that will improve throughout the 2015 golf season.”
