CENTRAL BUCKS EAST BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

 

Head Coach:  Erik Henrysen, 9th year

 

Assistant coaches:  Brian Yannarella, Jimmy Katasak, Jon McArdle, Anthony Magallanes, and Joe Laphen

 

Last year’s record:    13-12 overall; (5-7 SOL Continental)
                                 AAAAAA District 1 Tournament win (#13 Owen J. Roberts)
                                 AAAAAA District 1 Tournament Round of 16 loss (#4 CBW)
                                AAAAAA District 1 Playback loss (#12 Downingtown East)

 

Notable losses: Kyle Cassidy (2nd Team All-League, DeSales), Collin Stein (HM All-League, Catholic), Jesse Rivera (Cairn)

 

Key returners: Ben Markowitz (12/G-F), Leo Masterson (12/Guard), Nick Roggio (12/Center/2nd Team All-League)

 

Others to watch: Jacob Rotondo (11/G-F), Jason Markowitz (10/PG), Joe Jackman (10/G), Anthony Giordano (10/G-F)

 

Strengths: Outside shooting, Post play out of the Center spot, Unselfish teammates

 

Question Marks:  Replacing three starters.  Size and roster depth is also a question mark.  Lack of experience outside of our three returning seniors.

 

Outlook: This season will hinge on how quickly our inexperienced newcomers can acclimate to the speed of the varsity game.
