CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH BOYS’ LACROSSE PREVIEW

Coach:  Mike Sharman (3rd Season)

Assistant coaches:  Steve Henze, Mike Strayline, Zack Sharman, Christopher Mohapp & Scott Jones

Last year’s record:  8-4 SOL, 14-6 overall. Made the district playoffs and won our first round playoff game versus Kennett 10-4. This is the first playoff win in CB South school history. Lost to #1 seed Radnor in second round

Notable losses:  1st Team SOL Goalie Ryan Kelly now playing at USNA;  1st Team Attack Tyler Strayline now playing at Albright; 2nd Team Midfielder Tommy DiBrino now playing at Weidner College and 2nd Team Close Defensman Tim McCrudden now playing at Albright

Key returners:  Anthony Paone (SR) Face-off Midfielder; Jake Henze (JR) Midfielder;  Kevin Witchey (JR) Close Defenseman; Tim Ross (JR) LSM

Strengths:  Our strength is our continuity. Many players have played two years at the varsity level so they know each other and our offensive system.  This team plays well together on defense and are very passionate about their team.

Outlook:  “2014 will be a strong season as long as we continue to play well together as a team and stay healthy. This group believes in each other and will win games as long as they play together as a team.”
