COUNCIL ROCK NORTH BASEBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Matt Schram, 3rd year

Assistant coaches:  Russ Lyons, Bob Rabberman, Seth Mattleman, Kevin Mongiori

Last year’s record:  Overall 12-8, 7-5 league.  Finished 3rd in league.

Notable losses:

  1.  Jake Drossner – Playing at Univ. of Maryland
  2.  Will Terry

  4. Phil Marks
  5. Chris Ender – Playing at Gettysburg College

Key returners:

  1. Max German – 12th Grade/Inf
  2. Brett Newman – 12th Grade/P
  3. Matt Renck – 11th Grade/P
  4. Nate English – 12th Grade/P
  5. Ryan Baker – 12th Grade/OF
  6. Aden Tully – 11th Grade/Inf
  7. Zach Schram – 12 Grade/Inf
  8. Anthony Rigous – 12th Grade/C

Others to watch:

  1.  Tyler Calendar – 11th Grade/Inf
  2.  Tyler Perry – 12th Grade/Inf

Strengths:  Brett Newman, Nate English, and Matt Renck return as starting pitchers with experience.  Ryan Baker, Max German, and Aden Tully return as starters, and with the addition of Zach Schram (out last season with ACL injury) and Anthony Rigous, the team should find success.

 

Question marks:  With only three returning starting position players, a majority of the players on the field will be new to Varsity baseball.  They will run into their roadblocks and stumbling blocks as well.

 

Outlook:  Some are saying this is a rebuilding year, and we are thinking we are just reloading.  We are looking to see how the new guys respond to their new roles.
