Strengths – We have a lot of returning young players who were able to be a part of the success last year, and the year before. Having that time on the practice field and involved in the games as a reserve is going to be the key to our progress this year. The addition of transfer student Zach Deegan is going to be a help in a very inexperienced lineup.
Questions: Losing starting right fielder Matt Shenot (Jr. OF) is going to be a big loss on many levels. Matt will be back his senior, but that leaves us with one retuning starting position player from last year. We will definitely be working harder than ever to climb the ladder in our very tough league.
Outlook - This is the year where the young guys get a chance to compete for playing time and positions. There will be a lot of moving parts with a lot of inexperienced players getting varsity time. Our league might be at its strongest this year than ever before. Our preparation and hard work is going to show our growth and our youth all at once. We are excited about the season and the future of the program.
