Coach: Kinsey Lynch (9th year)
Last year’s record: 11-1 SOL National Conference champion, 12-4 overall, advanced to the third round of the district playoffs.
Key returners: Krista Campbell, Junior, Setter- 3rd year on Varsity. “We are looking for her to make big statement this year by not only setting the ball to our offense, but by also being a part of our offense at the net by making strong back row plays with her defense.”
Hailey Burns, Junior. Outside Hitter - 2nd year on Varsity. “Hailey is very strong at the net and will be a force to reckoned with all around. She has excellent court awareness and is very strong back row on defense.”
Alex Bovino, Senior, Right Side - 2nd year Varsity. “She is astrength on our right side with aggressive swings and big blocks. As captain she will be a great leader on the court.”
Miranda Sill, Senior, Middle Hitter, captain - 2nd year Varsity. “A strong middle hitter with excellent abilities to move the ball around the block.”
Megan Hannagan, Junior, Middle Hitter - 2nd year Varsity. “An aggressive middle hitter and strong leader in the position. Her ability to put the ball to the floor gets everyone fired up.”
Outlook: “This year, our goal is finish strong in the National Conference as we did last year. We have a very strong core group of girls returning. Half of the kids who returned played on a club team together, so we have excellent chemistry already. As always, we have a difficult schedule with some tough tournaments and non-league matches. In order for us to grow throughout the season, we have to be pushed by playing tough competition. I am really excited to see how the season progresses because I believe we have a lot of potential.”
