COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH FIELD HOCKEY PREVIEW

Coach: Kelly Mason (2nd Season) 

 Assistant coaches: Lynn Hamilton and Susan Mason  

 Last year’s record: 12-6-1 overall (10-5-1 SOL). 

Notable losses:

  • Kylee Hager (out for senior year season due to ACL injury. Made 2nd team all-state team as junior) 
  • Megan Rafter (out for senior year season due to meniscus injury) 
  • Caroline Martin (Continuing play at Alvernia University) 
  • Breanna Gable (Continuing play at Virginia Wesleyan University) 
  • Amanda Green (Continuing play at Rowan University) 

Key returners (include grade/position): Clare Morgan (Senior captain defender) 
Sarah Freeman (Junior captain midfielder) 
Peyton Wright (Senior Goalie) 
Kelly Longmore (Junior Forward) 

Others to watch:
Annagrace Mckinney (Senior forward) 
Mia Schink (Freshman forward) 

Outlook:  “Our goal is to work hard and be resilient. We have a new strategy coming into this season, and we need to work as a unit. We are without two of our returning players for their senior year who had an impact on this team, so we are relying on younger players to get the job done. We are here to compete, do our best, and we want to build on the success we had last season.”
