Question Marks: “While some girls did gain some experience last year, we have several girls playing in increased or new roles, so how we adjust to speed and physicality of the Varsity level will be a big question mark. Lost our top 3-Point shooter who also led us in charges taken- two areas we are developing.”

Outlook:  “We are in an unusual spot as we have some girls who have Varsity game experience but will have expanded and different roles, so in a way they are inexperienced in what will be asked of them this year. We are trying to establish a culture of everyone buying into their role and being “All-In” for the team.  I like our depth in several spots, albeit young, I think it gives us some flexibility with different lineups. Bailey Vetter and Hannah Binder are three year Varsity players and will be leaned on heavily in several different areas. Binder had a fantastic off-season. Jameson and Helmich are girls from our soccer program who have brought some leadership and toughness to us daily and are working really hard. Blaustein, Culp, Irvin, and Hondros give us some versatility and athleticism on the perimeter. Broaddus and Wunder can play several positions and can impact the game in a strong way, especially defensively. And we have three freshmen, Chambers and the Szydlik sisters, who had a real good Fall for us and could certainly contribute this year. Once some roles are established and we focus on defense and doing the little things (winning 50/50 balls, taking charges, playing together) to lead to offense, I am excited to see where the season takes us. The staff has been working hard on emphasizing fundamentals and skill work. The girls have had a good approach and are working hard. Our goal is to be competitive and push for a playoff spot.”
