COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH GOLF PREVIEW

Coach:   Dennis Matika  (15th year)

Assistant coach:  John Radick

Last year’s record:  SOL 13-1, Overall record 14-2    Co- Champion in the SOL National Conference

Key returners:  Lukas Clark (Sr) and Griffin Smith (Sr), co-captains of the team, both made the second round of districts last year.  Both golfers played a lot of competitive golf over the summer in AJGA events.  Both golfers will be playing Division I college golf next year.

Others to watch:  Varsity players Shane McDermott (Sr), Simon Asadoorian (Jr), Zack Bloom (Jr) and Matt Fleming (Soph)  We have 2 girls to watch who will be seeing some Varsity time.   Allison McGowan (Jr) and April Xu (Soph)                             

Outlook:  “We have a lot of experience in competitive golf returning this season but the challenge of five consistent scores in nine holes will still be present.”
