Outlook:  HH returns to the mats this winter with three returning regional qualifiers (C. Staub, R. Allgeier, A. Alameda-Guzman). Chris ‘Stauby’ Staub came up just short from a trip to Hershey a year ago (SE Regional 6th @ 139). Chris has been working hard this offseason, as evident by his recent championship run at the Pottstown Invitational, where he beat Jake Neill of CB South 8-6. This win over a state ranked opponent made Stauby the easy choice for the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Ryan Allgeier is the 2-time pin leader at HH. He has 37 falls for Hatboro-Horsham over two years and is chasing the 2018 Wade Schalles Award Recipient and HH alum Nick Chapman, who has the top pin spot on the board with a career 84. Andy Alameda-Guzman shows flashes of greatness as a 215 Big. A District 1 South Runner up last season, Andy is working hard to make a run at a state berth this season after coming close as a sophomore a year ago.

The team is young and ripe with talent. We only have two seniors in our starting lineup (C. Staub, A. Morrison) and are starting 5-6 freshman. The team has more than doubled since last season, thanks in part to 18 freshmen joining the team. Freshman Dominick Morrison is one of the top ranked wrestlers in the state at 107, as well as one of the top incoming freshman wrestlers in all of Pennsylvania. He has a rare pedigree of talent that works hard, something that will be very hard for opponents to beat. His goals are set on standing atop the podium at Hershey in March, and he will likely have a couple teammates there with him looking to medal as well.

Individual goals is what the team will be working towards all season. We are firm believers in setting the bar high and raising it. Through hard work, discipline, and having fun, the HH Wrestling Warriors look to improve on their strengths, wrestle to their outs, and give consistent and great effort in order to maximize our performance on and off the mat.
