Outlook:
My student athletes will reach their peak potential by the end of the season. They train, not necessarily to be the best, but to be their best. I want my student athletes to look back and be satisfied with the effort they put forth on the mat, in the community and most importantly, in the classroom. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. At the end of the season, if my student athletes are working their absolute hardest in all of these aspects, the accolades and accomplishments will be there to reap. We are a successful program, but I don’t measure our success on winning league championships or going to states, which we do. Our success is measured on the character we build in our young men and women as we send them off to the workforce or on to higher education.
“I believe that we have a talented team this year, with over 40 individuals on board, pulling together and working towards a common goal. With our work ethic, we expect to be competing in District Duals, and are dedicated and focused on winning the SOL American Conference this season. Individually, we are disciplined enough to have a couple of state qualifiers, perhaps even a state medalist.”
