NORTH PENN SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Head Coach:           Rick Torresani (13^th year  -  262 career wins)

Assistant Coaches:  Shannon McCracken 2^nd year, Beth Everest 1^st year 

Last year’s record:   SOL Record  9 - 5  Overall  18 – 8  PIAA District One 4A Champions

                               Lost to Lower Dauphin in the State Playoffs

Other to Watch:   Michelle Rauch ( JR.), Alyssa Shoulberg (JR), Meghan Curley(JR.)

Strengths:           With eight returning starters ,the pitching combo of Vicky Tumasz and Jackie Bilotti

                           and with Loch Haven recruit Michelle Holweger, the hitting and fielding of Erin Maher,

                           Alexa Gable, Hannah Sheehan and Melissa Fasick we should be in the thick of a great race

                           with a host of teams from the Continental Conference.

Question Marks:   Can we reclaim the never-give-up attitude that we had at the end of last year.  I

                            believe we can, and I know the players believe they can duplicate last year and more.

Outlook:                 After winning the 2012 District 4A title and having eight starters returning, the outlook

                              is for us to try and defend our title and strive for a conference championship and a long

                              run in the state playoffs
