STRENGTHS: The team earned valuable experience last season playing in a tough league and then having a nice run in the playoffs. The team lost some key players to graduation; however, with a number of returning varsity players, the team should have confidence competing this season. Competition at all positions should make us a hungry team.
WEAKNESSES: The one weakness on the team is if they do not all have the same goal. If all the players sacrifice and play as a team, the season will be a success. Losing Evan Myers as a number one pitcher is going to be hard to replace. The team will need to have a number of players step up and throw quality innings. The team does have some depth on the mound and everyone will have to compete when they are called upon.
OUTLOOK: The team has a number of players returning from last season. With the experience of last season, the opportunity for success is there. As always, if the entire team has a ‘team attitude,’ we will have success. If the players continue to practice hard and have the same goal - winning, we will have a successful season.
FUN FACT: The team is planning its annual weekend trip to the Poconos. This will be the 11th year for the trip. It is a great time to bond with teammates and have some competitive fun. An intense Wiffle ball tournament is always a highlight of the weekend along with some great food.
