PENNRIDGE BOYS’ SOCCER PREVIEW

Coach: Aaron Rapsinski (1st year head coach -- previous 8 seasons as Varsity Assistant with the program)

Assistant coaches: Mason Gilbert, Chris Levush, Jake Landau

Last year's record: 17-8 overall, 11-5 Colonial/Crossover. 2nd place Colonial Conference, 4th Place District 4A, State Quarterfinalist (first state birth in 25 years - 1st ever state win for program)

Notable losses: Shane Velez (PA Male Soccer Player of the Year, HS All-American, playing at UMass, 1st Team All-League), CJ Dimmick (1st Team All-League), Jared Hess (1st Team All-League), Tommy McKinney (1st Team All-League)

Key returners: Pat Fannon (Senior Midfielder, 2nd Team All-League), Luca Angello (Senior Midfielder, 2nd Team All-League), Roman Arcade (Junior Midfielder/Defender, All-League Honorable Mention)

Others to watch: Logan Lamaina (Junior Forward), Chase Rabinowitz (Senior Midfielder), Gavin Dimmick (Junior GK)

Strengths/Questions Marks: “We have a solid returning group from last year that have great experience playing in a tough Colonial Division and District 1 playoffs. Biggest questions mark is whether or not we can fill the void left by Velez, Dimmick, Hess, and McKinney. Those are big shoes to fill, but I am confident that we have guys that will step up.”

Outlook: “We should be competing for the Colonial Division title again. Our goal is to compete for the division and make district playoffs. We would like to replicate our success from last season and make it back to state playoffs as well.”
