Strengths: “We have key returners with varsity experience in our top 3-4 spots. Our key players have again been active participants in junior programs in local golf clubs, and most have been participating in junior tournaments over the course of the spring and summer. Coming off a successful 2014 season, our returning players want to continue to build off those successes and understand the offseason dedication needed to continue to improve.”
Question Marks: “Our challenge this season will be to continue the successes we have been building over the past couple of years which culminated in a very successful 2014 campaign. Our roster is not as deep as we have been the last few years so the players at the top of the roster are going to need to be consistent every match this season.”
Outlook: “As with each season, we are excited to open our 2015 campaign at Pennridge. We have a great group of kids who have continued the offseason dedication necessary to be successful at the game of golf both individually and as a team. There is definitely a feeling among this group of returning players that they would like to improve upon the success of last year’s team. It should be a great year as we will again have a very competitive group of teams in the Continental Conference.”
Matches to Watch: We will be hosting all of our Continental Conference teams (North Penn, Hatboro Horsham, CB East, CB South, CB West, Souderton and Quakertown) in a one-day 9-hole event (“The Pennridge Continental Invitational at Indian Valley Country Club”) on Monday 8/24/14 starting at 12:30 PM.
