Pennridge Softball Preview

PENNRIDGE SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Paul Koehler 4th

Assistant coaches:  LeeAnn Kramer, Tyler Penhallow (JV Coach), Brittany Sparling

Last year’s record:  8-6 SOL, 14-9 overall including a two wins(beat Conestoga and Owen J. Roberts) and a loss(North Penn 2-1) in District playoffs

Notable losses:  Brooke Labs – Marywood College; Paige DeCew, West Chester

Key returners:  Haley Taylor(senior, SS), Emily Mayhew (senior, left field), Bridget Casey (senior, center field), Alison Horne (senior, right field), Morgan Labs (junior, first base)

Others to watch:  Briana Gery (sophomore, second base), Liv Campbell (sophomore, catcher)

Strengths/Question Marks:  Our outfield should prove to be very strong.  We hope to play sure defense. Our middle infield and first base should be solid for us defensively.  We will hopefully be able to score some runs.  The biggest question mark will be pitching.  We will start untested pitchers from last year’s JV team.

Outlook:  Competing in this division (being arguably the toughest in the state) is always a tough challenge.  We hope to compete.  We hope to reach District playoffs again.

GAMES TO WATCH:  All of our home games – you know, music, lights, and great softball!!
