Strengths:  Depth in pitching with a lot of competition for spots in the starting rotationThree outfielders return from last year’s varsity roster, along with a first-year freshman.

Question Marks:  Starting infield positions are up for grabs, and a lot of questions remain about the role that four freshmen who made the roster will play throughout the season.

Outlook:  “Losing most of our innings from the mound last year and losing a large number of at-bats from our lineup due to graduation, it would be easy to call this a rebuilding year. However, we are excited to see a blend of returning seniors and young players who will work together to build a team that we think can be competitive not just tomorrow, but also today. After reaching the district playoffs in 2014, we fell short of our expectations to return in 2015. However, reaching that level is always the goal each season, and with a lot of competition  at a lot of positions, we believe that we will have a team in 2016 that pushes each other every day and can compete for one of those coveted playoff spots by mid May.
“We will start our season with five days in Vero Beach, FL, and will return to jump right into our league schedule in what has become an increasingly competitive Suburban One American Conference.”
