Strengths/Question Marks:
“Experience is definitely a strength in the program currently. The Colonials return most of their starting nine from a team that reached the district playoffs last season. Several of the players on the roster have accumulated two or three seasons of varsity baseball coming into 2019 and were a part of a turnaround season last year. Joe Jaconski (transfer- Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) has been added to an infield that was a defensive strength of last year’s team, and much of the pitching staff returns intact.
“Healthy competition is still underway to answer a few question marks, including some pitchers who will compete for innings and a few spots in the lineup where several players will vie for at bats.”

Outlook:
“Last year was a big step for us in returning to the district playoffs after a three-year drought. Like any team, our goal now turns back to competing for a conference title. Six of our seniors and two underclassmen have committed to playing baseball at the college level, and we will be counting on them for their leadership and drive throughout the season in a very tough conference. For the fifth straight year, we will open up our season with two games at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, FL.”
