QUAKERTOWN FIELD HOCKEY PREVIEW
Head coach: Kelly Driscoll (1styear as head coach after working with Quakertown for the past two years as the Assistant and JV Coach)
Assistant coaches: First year: Carrie Smith (Quakertown Alumni), JV Coach Katy Kemp (Quakertown Alumni), Freshman Coach Dawn Papciak-Jani (should have gone to Quakertown and acts like Alumni) and her assistant Gabby Dontonville Quakertown Alumni – All of the coaching staff have experienced the Pride of Quakertown Athletics and we are committed to this team and what the program stands for.
Key returners: Mackenzie Hadfield Senior: returning to hold down the midfield and some defense. Maddie Haley Senior: who will be a strong resource as a defender and possible midfielder.
Others to watch: “I have several sophomores that are returning to play on the varsity team - Makenzie Adamson and Halle Fredrick, but I also have some sophomores that will be joining their classmates and they have a lot of potential and enthusiasm for the program and the game. We look forward to all the young ladies that have returned as well as the ones who are just starting out.”
Strengths/Question Marks: Our strength is our seven returning seniors – the big question is: How is this team going to continue to develop and grow the culture of field hockey at Quakertown?
Outlook: “Team goals: we will play team attack and team defense. We are working to develop our understanding of roles on the field and how to cover each other and support each other.”
