Strengths/Question Marks:
Last year we started three freshmen on most days, and that will make us still relatively young in some positions. We expect more experienced youth, however, due to their head start last year. In the big picture, we expect contributions from a varied mix of seniors and underclassmen throughout this season. We have seniors who broke through with strong seasons last year, and we are eager to see them take another step forward this year, while at the same time we have a growing crop of younger players that we think can provide some real excitement for several more seasons.
On the mound, we have a depth of arms, with several more waiting in the wings in our JV program. We will look to anchor our rotation with seniors, but we expect significant contributions from several underclassmen who are also vying for innings.

Outlook:
Most teams start the season with a simple goal of qualifying for the district playoffs, and that is always a beginning point for us each season. The American Conference is perhaps tougher than it has ever been, and we know this season will present many challenges, but with the right mix of pitching, backed up by what we feel will be a much improved defense, and potential for run production throughout our lineup, we are hoping for good things to come this spring.
Four of our seniors earned some level of all-league recognition in 2016 and we will look to them to lead a young group of players who have shown a keen understanding of the game and an impressive work ethic to grow and succeed every day.
