Souderton Boys' Lacrosse Preview

SOUDERTON BOYS’ LACROSSE PREVIEW

Coach:  Mark A. Princehorn (1st year)

Last year’s record:  6-12, fifth place in SOL Continental

Notable losses:Tyler McDougall, Quinn Sherer, Ridge Shultz, and Pete Walbrandt.

Key returning players:Drew Nice (Sr), Cameron Trick (Sr), Hunter McGowan (Sr), Chris Malanga (Sr), Cory Anlauf (Sr), Nick Anderson (Sr), Johnny Rice (Sr) and Junior Goalie Remi Reeves.

Others to watch:  juniors Sean Readinger, Vinny Stranges, Greg Gibbs, Anthony Potts, and Kyle Curran.

Strengths:  Our Defense seems to be the strength of this year's team. We bringback a lot of experience and now with added depth we have the abilityto do a lot of things defensively to really make plays and pushtransition. We have an extremely athletic group of kids, who are ledby a great group of seniors. Our experience and combination of youngplaymakers will give us the opportunity to play a very fast andphysical brand of lacrosse.

Question marks:  Our depth at Attack is a bit of a question mark. We return greatexperience and production with Senior Cam Trick. However, we are stilllooking to find a true identity within that position. We have severalguys who are stepping up to fill out the supporting cast, but findingthe consistent cohesion among those guys still needs to be seen.

Outlook:  I feel as though our senior leadership and work ethic can potentiallybring Souderton its best lacrosse season in school history, and thatthis team has the ability to be a playoff team in 2014.
