Souderton Boys' Swimming/Diving Previw

SOUDERTON BOYS’ SWIMMING/DIVING PREVIEW

Coach:  Caitlin Warren, 3rd year

Last year's record:  10-1 overall and 6-1 in the league

Notable losses: Triston Loux and Kevin Musterait

Key returnees:  Seniors Matt Holcombe (all-around), Ryan Kierstan (sprint free), James Beldham (distance free), Juniors Brendon Loux (all-around), Danny Trout (back), Ryan Witoslawski (breast), Spencer Smith (distance), Zeke Flandro (diving), Cristian Musterait (sprint free), and Nick Scott  (all-around).

Others to watch: Spencer Nice (all-around), Storm Krader (all-around), Michael Dechert (all-around).

Strengths: The boys’ team this year includes members that have experienced competition at the district, state, and national level.

Question marks: With two top-scoring seniors graduating, there will be some big shoes to fill.

Overall outlook:  Last year was quite a year for the boys’ team with a ninth place overall finish at PIAA States, five team records broken, and two individual medalists, including a PIAA State Champion.  The core of the team still exists, but the talented sophomore and junior classes from last year will need to step it up.”
