Outlook: Last year’s season did not end the sweetest way for the Spartans.  The Spartans finished second in the Freedom Division of Suburban One.  However, did not advance to district playoffs.
There are a number of returning players to the team this season providing added experience and leadership, combined with fresh faces.  We have a very large group of 12 seniors who are looking to make their mark.  1st Team All-State player Emma Yoder (Sr.) and 1st Team All-League Norah Conlin (Sr.) bring stability to the center of the field, and senior Charlotte Drapkin solidifies the defense. Our junior class is ready to step up and make an impact this season.  Gracie Buchholz (Jr.), Iona Stum (Sr.), Gabi Maletta (Jr.), Grace Bell (So.), and Isabella Navo (Jr.) have worked extremely hard in the off-season by playing on a club field hockey team.  Sophomore Paige Pizzica will make a strong addition to the backfield with returning goalkeeper Grace Bell (So.) who has a year of experience under her belt. The entire team is showing promise for the upcoming season, and I feel we have a strong bench to rely on.”
