2. Shannon Reape - 12th grade, midfield (we welcome her back, as Shannon was a Varsity letter winner as a freshman, but then transferred to Spring-Ford for 10th & 11th grade.  She has since returned to UD and we are very excited to have her back!)

4. Jess Grodsky - 12th grade, forward
5. Maddie Templeton - 11th grade, forward (moving from midfield last year)

Players to Watch:
Juniors Molly Lunney and Emma Mead got a lot of Varsity minutes last year, and now bring a renewed confidence back to the forward line. Sophomores Emma Kate Powell and Ryann Kullmann spent a lot of time in the off-season working on their indoor game and have taken their skills to another level, which will be very useful in a backfield that graduated a lot of experience.  Look for junior Sarah Herchenroder and sophomore Meghan Muth to anchor the defense in the cage.  Although both are new to the goalkeeper position this year, they are both aggressive and athletic and are quickly improving their skill.  Seniors Elizabeth Barber and Ruby Dougherty will add depth in the backfield too.

Outlook:  “At this point in the preseason, we are excited, and cautiously optimistic for a successful 2016 season.  We changed our formation to better fit our personnel and individual strengths and playing styles.  With that, the girls have kept an open mind and really worked hard to adjust to the new system.  We will be competitive in every game we play this season, and if progress continues, an eye on post-season play won't be out of the question this year.”
