WILLIAM TENNENT GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coaching Staff:

  • Head coach - Paul Veltre (12th season)

Last Season’s Record:

  • 13-10 overall
  • 5-9 in Suburban One National Conference (6th)

Key returners:

  • Nikki Alden – 5’10” Senior forward
  • Angie Pomponio – 5’4” Junior guard
  • Alyssa Christiansen – 5’4” Junior guard

Players to watch:

  • Kyla Gibson – 5’3” Freshman guard

Key losses:

  • Allison Chatburn
  • Ally Fenner

Outlook:

  • The Lady Panthers will be depending on their key returners to compensate for the experience lost with the graduation of Chatburn and Fenner last year.  As the team’s lone senior, Nikki Alden will be called upon to provide leadership, and together with Angie Pomponio & Alyssa Christiansen, contribute on offense. The team looks to get stronger on the defensive end and improve its league record in the competitive National Conference.
