WILLIAM TENNENT GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coaching Staff:

  • Head coach - Paul Veltre (13th season)

Last Season’s Record:

  • 12-9 overall
  • 6-8 in Suburban One National Conference (tied 6th)

Key returners:

  • Alyssa Christiansen – Senior guard
  • Angie Pomponio – Senior guard
  • Kyla Gibson – Sophomore guard

Players to watch:

  • Rachael Ebert – Junior Forward
  • Sarah Richie – Sophomore Forward
  • Braylin Dougherty – Freshman guard 
  • Nicole Long – Freshman forward
  • Kelly Scipione – Freshman guard

Key losses:

  • Nikki Alden

Outlook:

  • The Lady Panthers will need to find ways to compensate for the experience, offensive production, and physicality lost with the graduation of Nikki Alden.  The team looks to lean on its returning players and improve its league record in the competitive National Conference while developing young talent.
