WISSAHICKON GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Coach: Kathie Sims (2nd year)
Assistant coaches: Holly Schneider and Maggie Whelihan
Last year’s record: 5-17 overall, 3-13 SOL
Notable loss: Our team’s notable loss is Kaitlyn McGeary, who went on to play at the collegiate level at East Stroudsburg University.
Key returners: Ashley Klein, senior forward. She was injured the majority of last season. She would have made a positive contribution to the team last year, so we are really looking forward to having her back and healthy this season.
Strengths/Question Marks: Our strength this year is going to be on the defensive end of the floor. If we can play good defense and get stops, we will be able to pull out wins this season.
Outlook: “Although losing Kaitlyn McGeary is quite significant to our team, we are looking forward to our young team coming together with players who showcase different strengths in the game of basketball. We hope we can improve overall by having a positive outlook on the season and adjusting things as we go.”
