Souderton lost a heartbreaker to league leader CB East 4-3. Souderton took the lead in the 2nd inning with a solo home-run by Austin Kreyenhagen, and again in the 5th when 2 more runs were added. Within league play, CB East has mostly been winning by blowout margins, so Souderton’s level of fight seemed to take CB East by surprise and was the closest they came to a loss this season. While Souderton is 1-4, it should be noted that 3 out of 4 loses were decided by just 1 run while the other loss was decided by 2 runs. The games have been close and it seems like a modest improvement may be all that is needed to turn the tide.

Souderton’s next game is a non-league contest vs Plymouth Whitemarsh Friday, April 12. Though it is a non-league game, spirits will be especially high as PW eliminated Souderton from the 2023 playoffs in the second round with a 6-5 Loss. This will not be forgotten among this year’s seniors and juniors.
