Souderton jumped out to a 7-0 lead and led after one quarter 17-10 , after that point it was a defensive battle with Souderton holding for a 41-40 victory. It was a total team effort Jared Bernhart was terrific in the paint and finished with 15 points. Carter Knight chipped in with 8 points. Steve Shaffer ran the club and 6 assists and held Church Farm’s leading scorer to 6 points, Jr. Evan Slone collected 14 rebounds. Souderton was crowned champion of the Church Farm Tip-off tournament and Jared Bernhart was named tournament MVP and Carter Knight made the all-tournament team. Souderton faces Methacton next on Tuesday at Souderton Area High School.
