The Bucks came out firing early as they connected on 8 first half 3's to take a 40-18 lead at halftime. The Panthers however didn't go away easy as they held West to 4 points the third quarter and cut the lead to 16 heading into the fourth. Tennent continued to fight their way back into the game as they got it to within 11 with just under five minutes remaining, but unfortunately that was as close as they would get it. A late field goal by the Bucks and clutch free throws in the final minute helped seal the 57-41 win. "I'm so proud of how hard our girls played and the fight they showed the second half, said Coach Whitney. We got in some foul trouble early, and were forced to play a zone and didn't do a good job of identifying shooters and gave up some offensive rebounds. We have talked a lot lately about mental toughness and how to handle adversity, and I couldn't have been more happier with the way our girls responded. It would have been really easy to give up, but they showed a lot of character. Even though it wasn't the final result we wanted, to outscore West 23-17 the second half, and even more impressive to defend the way we did after giving up 40 points the first half it felt like a win." The Panthers were led by Haley Crossley with16 points, Emma Stanfield chipped in with 12, and Brianna Broccardi had 10.
