It was a beautiful evening for cross-town rivals to compete on War Memorial Field. Student-athletes from both programs know each other very well (many play on the same FH Club team).
We were able to take quick advantage of their early miscues and raced out to a fast 2-0 lead.
It was a total team win (across each of our lines and student-athletes), we (coaches) felt we possessed and transitioned the ball with speed and intent. Our defense continued to cover for each other and cut off various counter attacks, midfielders were very active at both ends of the pitch; and, our forwards continued to attack the circle from multiple angles.
