Central Bucks West Comments
A great battle was had at War Memorial Field between Mount St Josephs and CB West. CB West came out swinging scoring in the first 10 minutes with a Kaci Murray goal on a scramble at the cage (22:23). The Mount came back and scored on a quick break goal less than 2 minutes later (20:08). West scored a quick response goal off a deflection from Ryan Murray's stick (19:34). Taylor Mason then scored an additional goal at the 13:21 mark. Before the half Mount scored at 9:02, the first of Natalie McNamara's two goals.

Taking a 3-2 lead into halftime West knew Mount would come out strong. Within the first few minutes (27:54) Bryn Boylan scored off a corner to put West ahead 4-2. Mount came back and scored with 25:36 off a McNamara breakaway. The score 4-3 stood for the next twenty some minutes as both teams went back and forth trying to find the back of the cage. With less than 30 seconds left R. Murray earned a corner which Bryn Boylan put home at the .01 mark to notch the 5-3 score.

This was a major team win from the CB West squad that has been dealing with injuries of late. They came together and played well as a whole unit. Every member of the team had an "own it" moment that helped to control the game. They held tough for those last 20 minutes. Stand out performances from Goalkeeper Laura Kubit, Ryan Murray and Bryn Boylan. Mount had 13 saves on 18 shots; West's Kubit had 9 saves on 14 shots. West takes on Agnes Irwin on Wednesday at War Memorial Field.
