Upper Moreland had a quick start with a reverse flick shot from Ava Bailey for a lifted goal in the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Ava Bailey found herself in the circle again and passed to two open UM players. Olivia Meakim collected the ball and took a hard shot to hit the back of the goal board to make it 2-0.
After that, the grass started frustrating both teams. But Upper Moreland's midfielders took control. Ella Gould, Melissa Torpey and Cambrie Richmond time and time again thwarted Cheltenham's offensive threats ad got the ball back up to the forwards.
In the 2nd half Cheltenham got it in the circle multiple times, but the Bears defense anchored by Izzy Duncan and Kelly Bates stopped every threat.
In the 4th quarter, Cheltenham was able to penetrate the Bears defense for a score of their own to make it 2-1.
When the game ended, Addi Hurley the Bears goalie recorded another win with 15 saves.
