This was a heartbreaker for sure. The energy on our side was so high from both our bench and our field play. Our lack of experience in situations like this got the best of us. Despite the loss it was a good showing. Junior captains Sarah and Maria Freeman played their usual intense game in the middle of the field. Freshman Mia Schink carried the ball nicely down the field for us. Senior captain Clare Morgan played solid defense and goalie Peyton Wright kept us in the game. It was a great experience for my younger players to deal with the pressure of a close game and that’s the best thing we can take from this.
