CB East counter attacked the first goal by Emmaus in a minute and 10 seconds, but over the remainder of the half, Meredith Sholder and her team went on a roll. The halftime score was at 6-1 which included a stroke and a goal off a corner with no time on the clock. East fought hard during the second half, but were not able to get on the board.
I am proud of the effort of all the CB East girls. We accomplished many goals we set for ourselves this year and in looking to the future many more will be reached. This group worked hard and played together to the finish. It was a great year despite the outcome of this game. East participated in their first state game since 2010, won the first conference championship since 2002 and beat rival CB West for the first time in five years. Quite a few firsts for a team that returns eight starters next year. It was a great year East!
