Hatboro-Horsham Comments

What an exciting game by both HH and UD that went into overtime this evening! Tonight we honored our Seniors, Lauren Fuller, Kaitlin Gehlhaus, Megan Leib, Molly Masterson, Maddie Reilly, Emily Salvatore, Kaitlin Schada, Lizzy Theurer, Liz Wilburn and Priscilla Yoo. The Seniors carried the intensity and excitement of the game from the beginning of the game until the very last second. Our team has really come on strong this 2nd half of the season. The scores do not show the progression of our team. Our ball movement and transition of the ball has improved. Our defense has also come up big. Tonight there were 17 penalty corners by UD and only 1 goal was scored. We had many more shots on goal than previous games tonight with 11. Proud of the whole team. Our goalie, Liz Wilburn, was stellar and has been all season. The game tonight was 0-0 at halftime and tied at 1-1 in regulation.

Goal Scorers:
UD - Maddie Templeton (unassisted) at 18:51 in the 2nd half
HH - Paige Mullen (unassisted) at 7:21 in the 2nd half

UD - Meghan Muth had 1 save, and Sarah Herchenroder had 3 saves

UD had 20 penalty corners and 19 shots on goal; HH had 3 corners and 11 shots on goal.

UD's Maddie Templeton & Molly Lunney both had outstanding games in the midfield, and Centerback Emma Kate Powell came up with a terrific defensive play to stop a breakaway on goal in the OT period against a much improved Hatters squad.

UD is now 8-5 in the SOL American Conference and 9-6 overall. We host Upper Moreland at home on Saturday at 3 PM for our 9th annual Corners for Cancer event.
