Quakertown Comments
Quakertown won 2-1 over Plymouth Whitemarsh after going into an overtime battle. This was a hard fought game by both teams, each playing a tough game both offensively and defensively. We were down by 1 going into halftime and we needed to pick it up. The first half we weren’t meshing like we had in previous games and it was definitely showing. After a quick pep talk during halftime, we came out ready to go. We tied the game during the 3rd quarter with 6:34 left on the clock. This goal came from contributions of multiple players. Sunny Draper smoothly dribbled the ball back into the circle, passing to Leah Schwalm who sent it towards the goalie, which then met Paige Longacre to gave the final tip into the cage. We ended the game 1-1 and went into overtime. With 8:19 left on the overtime clock, Cassidy Landis sent the ball into the top left corner to see the back of cage. This goal was a combination of passing and teamwork.
