Upper Moreland played a tough defensive game against a talented New Hope team.
In the first half New Hope was in our circle a lot and our defense held tight. We only allowed one goal in the first half. Ash Conrad had 10 saves in the first half and the half ended 1 – 0.
Cambrie Richmond, Kelly Bates, Eowyn Stainback and Izzy Duncan were amazing in our circle getting the ball out time and time again.
Then in the 2nd half, Upper Moreland turned it on and midfielders Cambrie Richmond, Ella Gould and Melissa Torpey played their hearts out all over the field. We were trying to get breakaways and get the ball up to Ava Bailey and Maggie Morrow, but then with everyone up on attack, New Hope ended up getting a few goals.
UM’s starting goalie went out with a concussion about 2 weeks ago and their sub goalies had to step up. Ash Conrad shined today making 23 saves and 3 goals allowed. We are so proud of how Ash has elevated their performance and matured quickly to become our starting goalie. Ash faced a ton of pressure today and was steady in the goal for our team.
